About the Job

Responsibilities:
  • Managing the development and performance of SQL databases (cloud & on-prem) for applications, including server installation, upgrading, scaling, configuration, tuning, optimization of database systems.
  • Constantly seek out emerging database technologies for better handling of data and increase data processing efficiency.
  • Propose and develop methodologies and processes for optimizing database security and access.
  • Ensure that potential problems, such as performance degradation, reliability and security are addressed proactively.
  • Plan and implement database fixes, patches and version upgrade
  • Provide 24/7 support for critical situations.
  • Setup and manage data warehouses and transactional replication.
  • Assisting project development teams in development of highly scalable and mission critical applications including: - Database design & implementation - Performance planning & management - Providing technical support for databases at customer sites.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/IT Management or any other IT related field.
  • 5 years and above of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau analytics and reporting tools.
  • Professional certifications such as OCP/MCSE/MCDBA or DBA related are preferred.
  • Strong in commands of SQL and SQL server tools.
  • Experience on ETL for data integration and migration.
  • Able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas and good.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
